I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Horticulture and Natural Resource Sciences at Kansas State University, where my research focus is on preharvest and postharvest produce safety.
My journey in produce safety began when I took on the role of Laboratory Lead for a food microbiology testing laboratory. Not only did I gain valuable insight into the critical food safety needs of the produce industry, but the possibilities to address these important issues pushed me to pursue a doctoral degree. I joined the Bhullar lab in Fall 2020 where I currently serve as the Lab Manager and participate in exciting research, extension, and teaching opportunities!
If you see me at a conference, meeting, etc., feel free to reach out and say hello!
